Actual Photos Of African Slaves On A Slave Ship Headed To The USA

BlackBrutha Note: Some Of Our Relatives Might Be In These Pics. AmeriKKKa is gonna have to pay for all of her sins. This is definately the biggest sin of AmeriKKKa. Its Okay To Forgive, But Got Damnit DONT FORGET. Karma is a mutha-fucka. These are actual photos.

Indian Ocean: East African slaves taken aboard the Dutch HMS Daphne from a Arab dhow, November 1st, 1868.

These photographs dated 1868 reveals a very little of the terrible suffering caused to millions of people by the slave trade. This group of severely emaciated boys and young men on the lower deck of a Royal Naval ship apparently have been taken from what was a slave vessel trading illegally off the African coast headed to the Americas. The captain of the Royal Naval ship had instructions not to return the rescued slaves to the place on the coast where they had been put on the slave ship (presumably because they were in danger of being recaptured by traders) but it is not clear from the available documentation what happened to them afterwards.

Note: If A brutha could travel back in time, I'd bring an army of brutha's from the hood and have a sit down with the slave masters back then. And dookie on all of them.

It IS a sin. But Black Amerika needs to know that none of the slave trade wudda been possible without the cooperation of Black Africans. Americans paid Black slave traders in Africa to go and bring them the slaves -- that is a historical fact. Those slave traders sold out their own people and were as violent as the Whites. None of this forgives the Whites for their actions, it was wrong. But Black America is not served today by failing to own up to its own historical part in the tragedy. Some North American Indians did much the same thing; the Coast Salish in British Columbia raided Indian settlements inland and took slaves. The Iroquoi in the East had raiding parties for slave-taking. The history of slavery is a Human phenomenon, not just a White one.

I resent your post, sir. You forget that PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE and so were some money-hungry Africans. Nobody has claimed that all of the people who lived in Africa were saints. Remember, those men would not have had the idea to sell those people if there had not been evil buyers.

You have people, right here in "civilized" America, who commiit the most horrible crimes known to man -- everyday.

What was done to the Africans who were stolen and brought here is the most horrible crime one can imagine. Of course, for white Americans, the only thing worse is O.J. Simpson killing his white wife!

The torture, raping and murdering of people to brainwash them into being transformed into animals is a dire crime against nature. The inhumane treatment for the centuries that followed, by the slaveowners' ancestors takes this crime to a higher, more evil level.

Whites of today have benefitted from the crimes of slaveowners, even those whites whose forebearers couldn't afford to own slaves (which was most of them). But the atmosphere they created, the sheer atrocities they perpetrated on African people, set the tone of the Nation. It created a false belief in white supremacy and a "normalcy" of black inferiority.

It was not long ago, when racism was openly legal in America. Jim Crow was the order of the day since the 1800s. In other words, slavery continued in a different form.

My education goes father back than slavery. It travels back to the origins of man, which, by the way, was Africa. All of us, white and black who live in the USA are "African-Americans."

Educate yourself! Find out what happened after the African Diaspora. It will tell you why the people who stayed in Africa look different than their brothers and sisters who migrated out of the region, ending up in all parts of the world. There is a scientific REASON why the Japanese look different than the Italians, why the Italians look different than the Norwegians, why they look different from the American Indians, etc.

But the important thing you will find, is that ALL PEOPLE, everywhere are basically the same and we all had a common origin. We don't have "different races" on planet Earth, we have many ethnic groups.

To move forward reparations must be given, no if and or buts about it. Many appoints say that is not an econimal solution, but it is, even if is in the form of free college education, reparation must be given, we have a bi-racial president, so hopefully he will enfource what was originally put down in writting, reparations.

Slavery has been employed since the dawn of Empires, Empires and greed are not substainable. To create the types of structures, governmental buildings etc. some form slave labor and or very cheap underfeed overworked labor is employed. This was done in ancient rome, this was done in ancient egypt, the gypse's were slaves in Europe up until the mid 1900s, etc etc etc. The truth of the matter is indentured workers from the carribean, and south america currently work at the Immoklee farms in Florida for little food and no pay, that's slavery. Not to meantion they are treated like dogs. Also the China, and other countries workers are paid pennies a day and work in horrible working conditions, creating toys for the rest of the world....

We must seperate what the Elite people and institutions do to the rest of the population from what we do. For a person on his or her own can be horrid, however it takes an intricate system, effort and well thought out plans to enslave millions of people.

The atlantic slave trade began because royalty and others in charge has its exoteric plan...

Its a very convient coincidence that althought the Bible is filled with tales of the jews trying to escape slavery in Egypt and yet fast-forward a couple hundered years, and the pope/catholisim/christinaity as a whole has no objection to the atlantic slave trade. It doesn't
make logical sense, and if it doesn't make sense its exoteric.
It could not be employed in the same form today, humanity has learned, THE ENDS NEVER JUSTIFY THE MEANS.

While it is true that white americans have benefited from the oppresion of black americans, we must not forget that together whites and blacks died to make the insitution bend its rules.

History Books in the US school system are controled by the DAR; and history is mearly the prospective of those who wrote it. My great-grandfather and best friend where killed by the KKK infront of their families because they where friends and business partners, my great grandfather being white and his friend being black. My aunt was arrested during the civil right protest in the 1960

My great great grandfather was also a member of the underground railroad and helped hundered of his fellow brothers/people attain freedom.

People have been fighting the status quo since the status quo has been dividing and conquring us. That is why we have such a beautiful world today and why we MUST CONTINUE that fight till everyone is well feed and at peace. Injustice is not real and not a part of humanity, we are beautiful souls and now is the time to make right the misdeeds of the elite, "they say their blood is blue and ours is red, maybe thats what makes them behave so full of contempt for us"

Its time for reparations. Its time for the popular vote to elect the president, its PAST TIME for the Supreme Court Judges and all Judges to BE ELECTED BY THE POPULAR VOTE!!!!! NWO=no
HCW= Human Community World yes*

HDcanuck, I agree with you. Slavery in any form by any people is a hideous crime against Allah and humanity.
Yet, the ancient Egyptians, who some identify as having been black Africans, were themselves slave-owners who held people in bondage and who considered slaves lower than animals. Indeed, if a slave so much as accidently struck an Egyptian, that slave was killed.
Now, the history of slavery goes back to the very beginning of time. Sumerians, Persians, Assyrians, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, have all been slave mongers and owners at one time or another. Sadly, even Islam, according to the Koran and the Prophet, sanctions slavery and even proposes its use as a method of subduing "non-believers".
The point is that every nation on Earth has been guilty of this sin, including black African tribes themselves. And everyone who has engaged in it has eventually paid in blood for the crime. Not one group has ever been exempt, not a single one. Latinos, Whites, Blacks, Arabs, Muslims, we all are guilty, and we all have much to account for.

I have been reading all of the posts on this site, and although there are alot of different opinions, I am truly blown away by how civil everyone has kept comments and how some were actually willing to compare notes. I was also impressed by how some expressed themselves in a way that their words flowed like poetry. I wanted to read more, thirsting for more knowledge. I've actually learned very important things from different posts that I've never seen in history books. I'm a black woman and I've always had a passion for slavery and artifacts.

Rique, you are indeed a kind and generous woman. This is, as you have pointed out, a most difficult and emotional topic, one which can easily bring out the worst and the best in people. Suffice it to say that if we, as commentators, have added a single note of illucidation to the matter at hand, then we have succeeded in making our world just a little bit more understanding and a little bit wiser. And with your own gentle comment, you have made our world a little bit sweeter. Thank you again and may God always be by your side, whispering words of encouragement whenever your spirit needs a friend.

Slavery thrives, and is expanding throughout Africa. White Christians are the ONLY demogrpahic that every tried to end slavery. Go to Africa, you whining, ignorant wretched Negro ingrate - and try to get your Black Bruthas to pSTOP enslaving their own. Make sure they don't clap chains on YOU (although that would b a boon to America)

sad have to say money is not the answer. No one was there back in that era to see or hear what was said to bring people here. But again there is the theory I keep reading that in africa they were innocent and they just took them, then they bought them then they lied and told them a story about bringing them here. Now I hear they dont want them back. No one living now knows what the hell was said or not said what happened or not. So that needs to be shut the hell up. Every ethnic group has done it if not to another to their own.So what now the world is to stop...........and everyone sue everyone formoney land a donkey what?>>>>>> then only then will it shut up and let us all get on with living??????????????? hell no it will never shut the hell up. It is a admission of guilt. I have not guilt I have not done nothing and will not pay for it, nor have my damn tax dollars spent on something i did nothing for. I will not bust my ass for it. I bust my ass for so many to sit on their ass everyday, and illegal people to come and take from us as well. No i feel my damn dues for helping anyone have been long ago paid.

It's worth pointing out though that they were captured on an Arab dow. Cuba and Brazil still had slavery in 1868 (Brazil was increasing) and the U.S. didn't. Sound like a European (Dutch) ship seized it to enforce the ban on trafficking. This was probably part of the Arab-Brazilian trafficking that went on until 1890.

It's ARABS and AFRICAN KINGS who should pay for it. They are the ones who ruined Africa from a prosperous nation, to one steeped into violence and poverty.

You are actually wrong about one of the photos. The photo with the slaves posing for a picture with the muslims on the left is of muslim slave keepers trying to transport their goods to America. After declaring a ban on slavery in the early 1800s, Britain enforced the ban on other nations. The batch in the photo shows black slaves rescued by the British Navy from raids on Muslim slave-trading ships.
